Revolver Magazine

This was my first gig as the head of the art team of a magazine. I redesigned this monthly punk and metal music magazine, introducing fashion and art photographers to create a new visual language for the genre. I worked closely with the Editor-in-Chief to develop creative editorial concepts and content structure. I commissioned comics. I built a reader-moderated online community (and am still in touch with some of those readers). Some of my favorite memories involved corralling squirrelly lead singers into cover shoots that were an ode to Annie Leibovitz’s Vanity Fair covers.
